Our Story: A Foundation Built on Justice & Dedication

The Law Offices of Rono A. Baijnath were established in 2007, rooted in a deep-seated commitment to justice and client advocacy. Our founder, Rono A. Baijnath, embarked on his legal journey at a young age, demonstrating a passion for the law that began with a co-op placement at the Ontario Provincial Courts in the former City of Scarborough at just 14 years old. This early dedication was profoundly shaped by personal tragedies—the murder of his friend Ismale Spence and the loss of his cousin Hardai Parbhu in the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. These events solidified his resolve to pursue a career in law, driven by a powerful desire to work for the greater good of society.

Academic Excellence & Community Involvement

Mr. Baijnath's path to legal excellence began with a B.A. Hons. in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Toronto (Trinity College) in 2003. He then graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2006, where his studies reflected a diverse interest in law, society, and social justice issues. While at Osgoode, he was actively involved in student politics and social justice matters, showcasing his commitment beyond academics. In 2005, he was one of only eight students awarded a prestigious placement at Parkdale Community Legal Services, where he gained invaluable practical experience in the Immigration and Refugee Division. His academic achievements were further recognized in 2006 when he received Osgoode’s Banking and Negotiable Instruments Award for the highest scholastic achievement.

Over the last decade and a half, the firm has grown significantly, expanding its reach and expertise across the Greater Toronto Area.
